FINANCIAL BIBLE STUDY

It seems we are all experiencing tough economic times. Now, more than ever, we need to be following God’s biblical principals in handling our finances. Not only does God’s word predict difficult financial times but His word gives us guidance as to how to prepare for and then deal with the tough times.

Many of the economic woes we are experiencing could have been avoided if only we obeyed these principals. A new Financial Bible Study will begin January, 2012, here at St. Paul’s Church. This study is as developed by Compass Financial Ministries (www.compass1.org).

This study is one of the most remarkable, effective ways to find biblically
based answers to financial questions and difficulties. Through in-depth teaching in a small group setting, it trains individuals (or couples) in only 9 weeks to use their gifts in eternally significant ways that benefit you and your church.

The Biblical Financial Study – 9 Week Edition teaches more than
practical financial principles—it teaches the successful combination of God’s wisdom along with practical principles. This teaching strategy treats more than the practical symptoms of financial bondage—it creates a long-term transformation of the heart. This is the most effective way to find biblically based answers to one’s financial questions and difficulties.

Graduates of this study have reported that marital relationships are strengthened, they developed a closer walk with Christ, their prayer and Biblical reading increased, their financial situation improved and their service to their Lord and their church increased.

A maximum of 10 people are allowed to participate at a time. This allows for more individual discussion and fulfillment. Additional classes will be available for additional sign-ups.

There are four requirements for participants in the study:
1. Daily prayer for each member of our group.
2. Memorize one assigned scripture each week.
3. Complete weekly homework assignments – both Bible study and practical applications.
4. Attend minimum 7 of 9 classes.

Please don’t let the scripture memorization deter you from participating. The study provides memorization helpers and it is ultimately very rewarding.
The cost of the study materials is $45 for couples and $35 for individuals. Scholarships are available if necessary. We do not want the cost of the study to deter anyone from attending.
